I am often asked about air conditioning and wanted to address a few common questions.
1) What size air conditioner do I need?
It depends on how much house you are cooling. Usually, the bigger the house, the bigger the air conditioner you'll need. There are also other considerations.
2) How much does a new air conditioner cost?
It depends on a few things. The size and brand of the unit, the labor required to install, if there is duct work that needs to be added or fixed. During your evaluation we will determine the factors and you will get an estimate.
3) How long will my air conditioner last?
With proper maintenance, your air conditioner should last 15 - 20 years.
4) Should I cover my air conditioner in the winter?
A/C units are made to be outdoors, so you do not have to cover it. If you would like to, you could set a piece of plywood on top to keep leaves from falling into the unit.
